Cyberinfrastructure (CI) Days 2013
CI Days 2013 was a two-day conference held in November aimed at highlighting data- and computation-intensive research and educating the U-M community about the advanced computational resources available on campus.
More than 40 posters were submitted for the CI Days poster competition.
Keynote Speakers
Christiane Jablonowski, associate professor of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences, and head of the Atmospheric Dynamics Modeling Group.
The title of her talk is “Pushing the Frontiers of High-Resolution Climate Modeling.”

Abby Smith Rumsey, a historian of ideas and an expert in digital preservation, has served as director of the Scholarly Communication Institute at the University of Virginia and has worked with the Library of Congress’s National Digital Information Infrastructure and Preservation Program (NDIIPP).
Her talk was titled “The History of the Future: What Happens When the World Fails.”

James Hilton, newly appointed U-M Dean of Libraries and Vice Provost for Digital Education Initiatives, spoke on “The Evolving Role of Libraries in Supporting the Lifecycle of Research Data”.

Lada Adamic, is a data scientist at Facebook and an associate professor at the U-M School of Information and Center for the Study of Complex System.
Her talk was titled “Big Fun with Big Data.”
