CSCAR Workshop: Applied Structural Equation Modeling – April 10, 11, 12, 2013

April 10, 2013 @ 12:00 am

This workshop is designed to help participants develop skills in defining, estimating and testing structural equation models. Applied Structural Equation Modeling will focus on covariance structure models with latent variables. Two submodels, confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis, will also be covered.  Lectures covering structural equation modeling in general will be interspersed with hands-on computer work. The workshop is intended as an introduction to structural equation modeling.

Fees: $441 – U-M Affiliated / $945 – Not U-M Affiliated When: April 10,11,12, 2013 Audience:  Researchers in social sciences and other applied fields who may encounter data suitable for structural equation models. Location: Modern Languages Building (MLB), Room 2001A Instructors: Giselle Kolenic is a statistical consultant for CSCAR. Missy Plegue is a statistical consultant for CSCAR. Prerequisite: Introductory statistics, plus familiarity with multiple regression and factor analysis. Provisions: Enrollees will receive substantial handouts. Morning refreshments will be served. Break for lunch (lunch not provided). Class size: 24 Participants (1 per computer) REGISTER for the workshop.
