Fall 2012 U-M Mobile Apps Challenge — Submit by Midnight, December 10

What is the Mobile Apps Challenge?
Since 2010, Apple, Inc., Computer Science and Engineering, Google, Information and Technology Services, and Technology Transfer have sponsored a Mobile Apps Challenge. The challenge is for interested U-M students, faculty and staff to submit mobile applications that are reviewed by a panel of judges. There are two separate competitions offering up to $1,500 in prizes: Competition #1 – “Design an Original App” Want to show off your brilliant mobile app? The Mobile Apps Challenge is your outlet to win prizes for your creativity and showcase the ingenuity that thrives at U-M. Submit your app by following the directions in “How to submit” below. Competition #2 — “Innovative Vision” Do you have a realistic vision of how mobile technology can be used to improve learning, lifestyle, or culture at the University of Michigan? How will your vision influence students, faculty, researchers, or staff? Submit your ideas by following the directions below.
How to submit:
- Open an M+Box account
- Create and share a folder with email@example.com
- Upload an .mp4 or .mov of your entry to your M+Box folder
- Upload a supporting document to the M+Box folder that contains information about:
- Where you’re from on the Ann Arbor, Flint or Dearborn campus
- Which competition category you are entering
- Submit your entry by midnight December 10, 2012
The most innovative and practical ideas and apps have the chance to win a laptop, mobile device, or other cool prizes – up to $1,500 in prizes will be awarded to the grand prize winner!
Who is eligible?
Current U-M students, faculty, and staff are eligible to participate, including temporary employees.
