Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) offering training session July 11

Brian Spector, technical sales specialist with the Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG), will provide a training session July 11 on the NAG Numerical Libraries. The NAG Libraries contain more than 1,700 routines and are used by developers to add high-quality mathematical and statistical functionality to their applications and to solve complicated mathematical problems. The Library has offerings to work with C/C++ and Fortran and is accessible from a variety of others, including Matlab, Python, and R. The training session will provide an introduction to NAG and discuss the NAG products available at UM. Other topics include documentation, choosing the best functionality, optional arguments, calling the Library from different environments, and numerical accuracy. The event is open only to UM affiliates. Participants must have a UM uniqname to take part.
