U-M to host telecast of XSEDE workshop on MPI (Message Passing Interface) — Sept. 4-5

The University of Michigan will be one of six sites around the country to host the XSEDE High Performance Computing Monthly Workshop introducing programmers to MPI (Message Passing Interface) September 4-5. The workshop is intended to give C and Fortran programmers a hands-on introduction to MPI. Attendees will leave with a working knowledge of how to write scalable codes using MPI — the standard programming tool of scalable parallel computing. The workshop will not be available on the Web — attendance at the in-person telecast is necessary to view the event. What: Telecast XSEDE workshop on MPI When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4 | 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 5. Where: Ehrlicher Room, North Quad Building, Central Campus Registration: Opens Aug. 16. There is only room for 24 participants.
