Advanced Research Computing (ARC) at the University of Michigan invites applications for a scientific programming / high performance computing specialist to help faculty and researchers efficiently and effectively use the university’s and national high performance computing (HPC) resources.
Required Qualifications
- A PhD in natural sciences, applied math, or engineering
- Proficiency in C++
- Experience in scientific programming
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent English communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a scientific research environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in parallel programming using MPI/OpenMP and experience on large scale computers and supercomputers is highly desired
- Experience in quantum Monte Carlo simulations
